This handbook is for teachers who are preparing candidates for English: Key for Schools, also known as Key English Test (KET) for Schools. The introduction gives an overview of the exam and its place within ESOL.

English Key for Schools is a new version of English: Key, also known as Key English Test (KET), developed with exam content and topics targeted at the interests of school-age learners.
It is at Level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) published by the Council of Europe.
