Part 1 describes word games played orally while 

Part 2 deals with paper-and-pencil games. All are fun and most are competitive. Each game in the book is prefaced with a threefold note. The first gives an estimate as to how many may play it.

The second suggests a suitable age and the third distinguishes serious from light-hearted games.
